This is a 24 x36 painting of the starting line of a regatta I was fortunate enough to see several years ago.  It was going to be the signature piece for my solo show at Gallery 5800 in Richmond, in June but I think it has already found a nice home. I love to paint these racing boats with their brightly colored spinakers...I think it brings back memories of sailing in the Chesapeake Bay with my husband!!!!! Foot loose, fancy free, wind in my hair, sun on my face ...what could be better??????
